A ‘tondo’ style painting (composed in the round), of a golden bush robin perched upon a branch. This is part of the artist’s series exploring the juxtaposition of eastern and western aesthetics, which takes inspiration from traditional Chinese paintings of the Ming Dynasty.

The painting measures 24 x 24 cm., and comes with a substantial, hand-made Tondo-opening Dutch ripple frame by Kingswood Frames measuring 55 x 55 cm. Oil on linen panel, 2023.
